The Charleston County Master-in-Equity holds final sales on Tuesdays at 11:00 a.m. in County Council Chambers at the Public Services Building, 4045 Bridge View Drive, North Charleston, and re-open sales on Thursdays at the Judicial Center, 100 Broad Street. Bidders must register by noon on the Monday before the sale.

  • Short-term rentals in the City of Charleston require a city Short Term Rental permit that must be renewed annually by its original issuance date. Each permit category allows no more than one short-term rental unit per property and requires one off-street parking space in addition to the parking already required.
  • Long-term rental units in the Cannonborough/Elliottborough, Mazyck-Wraggborough and Radcliffeborough neighborhoods must be registered with the city's Residential Rental Registration program. Out-of-state owners need a local representative within 30 miles, and owners of 5 or more long-term units in the city also need a business license.
