- Ohio uses judicial foreclosure. Effective January 1, 2024, Hamilton County Sheriff's sales take place online at hamilton.sheriffsaleauction.ohio.gov (RealAuction). The Sheriff lists sales on Wednesdays at 11:00 a.m., and depending on the sale type some are held at the Hamilton County Courthouse, Room 260.

Owners of eligible properties with unresolved code violations, delinquent taxes or similar issues must apply for a Residential Rental Inspection Certificate and pass an inspection.
