- Most Bexar County foreclosures are non-judicial trustee sales run by the trustee or substitute trustee named in the deed of trust, not by county staff. Under Texas Property Code 51.002 they are public auctions held on the first Tuesday of the month between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. The County Clerk states sales take place on the west side of the Bexar County Courthouse, 100 Dolorosa, or as designated by the Commissioners Court; if the first Tuesday is January 1 or July 4, the sale moves to the first Wednesday. Mortgage and tax sales are cash auctions (cash or certified funds).
